Venture Cafe’s FoodBev Connect mini-conference, “Boston’s Recipe for Food Innovation”, taking place on October 26, 2017.

Through FoodBev Connect, we will explore opportunities for collaboration between culinary and tech innovators – from farm to fork. This special ‘conference night’ event seeks to bring together the brightest minds who are building, funding and innovating in the Greater Boston area’s agtech, food & beverage, and foodtech communities.

Early stage ventures and prospective entrepreneurs have an opportunity to sign up for Office Hours during this event. Entrepreneurs may sign up for 30-minute consultations with a variety of experts.

Appointments can be made on a first come, first served basis. Any cancellations will require 48-hour notification in order to accommodate entrepreneurs who have been placed on a wait-list. No-shows are frowned upon in the VenCaf community and we reserve the right to disallow future appointments for repeat offenders.

Jose Barriga

Jose Barriga, Founder, Cambridge Food Lab

Jose brings over 25 years of combined experience from the communication, non-profit and the restaurant industries. In Los Angeles, in the 90s, he partnered in two Peruvian restaurants. In Boston, was trained and worked in Operations and Business Development with Chef Tony Maws (Craigie on Main) and as GM at Dali. Before rejoining the food industry Jose worked in Communications as a Network TV producer in L.A. and in marketing in Boston. As a Serial Social Entrepreneur, he founded The Boston Latino International Film Festival, Viceversa Communications, and The Cambridge Food Lab. He holds a B.A. in Social Psychology from URP (Lima -Peru) and grad studies in communications (UCLA) and regulatory affairs (Northeastern). He also attended the Cordon Bleu School in L.A.
