5:00 PM – 5:10 PM Welcome and Introductions by Francesca Scire-Scappuzzo, BAE Systems
Dr. Francesca Scire-Scappuzzo is Director of Advanced Technology and Innovation and Chief Scientist at BAE Systems FAST Labs. She has over 20 years’ experience designing, prototyping, patenting, and integrating next-generation electronic devices and systems for defense, commercial and scientific applications.
Before joining BAE Systems Francesca was Co-founder, President, and CEO of Ondetech LLC, Vice President of R&D at Metamagnetics Inc; Principal Research Scientist at Physical Sciences Inc. and tenured Professor of Electrical Engineering at the University of Catania, in Italy. Francesca obtained her undergraduate and master degrees, Summa cum Laude in EE at University of Catania, Italy; her MS at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), Cambridge, MA; her Ph.D. at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH) Zurich, Switzerland; and she was Post Graduate Fellow at the European Space Agency ESA/ESTEC in The Netherlands.
5:10 PM – 5:30 PM BAE Systems Capabilities and Vision for the Future of Cyber Security
Ray Brousseau is Vice President of Engineering for the Electronic Systems sector.
He is responsible for all engineering efforts. These include critical skills and resource management, technology management, strategic planning, budget, and the overall continuous improvement of the Electronic Systems engineering organization.
Ray brings more than 20 years’ experience in avionics design and development into the position. He previously served as engineering director of the Survivability and Targeting Solutions business area. Through his years with BAE Systems and its legacy businesses, Ray has served in engineering roles in increasing responsibility from the chief engineer of the F-35 Electronic Warfare program to technical director/chief engineer of the Electronic Combat Solutions business area to engineering director of the Survivability and Protection Systems business area.
Ray holds a master’s degree in electrical engineering from the University of Massachusetts (Lowell) and bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from the University of Massachusetts (Amherst). Ray serves on the board of Membership of Industrial Advisory Board, Francis College of Engineering at UMass Lowell, as well as the College of Engineering and Physical Sciences at the University of New Hampshire (CEIPS). In addition, Ray is a member of Aerospace Industrial Association (AIA).

Cyber Resilience at FAST Labs
Presented by Brian DeCleene
Dr. Brian DeCleene is the Chief Scientist for the Cyber Technologies group with BAE SYSTEMS FAST Labs. Previously, as technical director, Dr. DeCleene founded the Cyber Defense and Networking research group which executed over $100M in contract funded research of the DoD in the areas of cyber-resilience, multicast security, network coding, network calculus, and real-time optimization/response to cyber threats. He holds multiple patents and technical publications including two book chapters.

Dr. Sam Hamilton is Chief Scientist at BAE Systems. He was COO at Siege Technologies LLC, CTO at Distributed Infinity and Director of Operations at Lockheed Martin Information Assurance.
Network-Side Cyber Resilience
Presented by Michael Wang
Dr. Michael Wang is a Principal Scientist at BAE Systems FAST Labs. His research interests lie at the intersection of applied mathematics (distributed network optimization), electrical engineering and computer science (heterogeneous networks and communication systems). Michael received his PhD and Master’s in Electrical Engineering from Princeton University working with Dr. Mung Chiang in 2016 and 2013 respectively, and his BS in Physics and Electrical Engineering from the Pennsylvania State University in 2011.
Host-Side Cyber Resilience
Presented by Yingbo Song
Dr. Song is a Senior Principal Research Scientist at BAE Systems. He specializes in machine learning and network security. He is currently PI for the DARPA I2O Transparent Computing program where he studies provenance of information using graph models. Previously, he was PI on the DARPA DSO IMPROV program where he developed a passive target designator system using Android. He has also worked on real-time anomaly detection for HTTP and DNS traffic, and Mobile Ad-hoc Network (MANET) simulation and routing protocols. Dr. Song obtained a Ph.D. in Computer Science from Columbia University in 2012.

Dr. Jerry M. Wohletz, Vice President and General Manager of FAST Labs
Dr. Jerry M. Wohletz is the Vice President and General Manager of FAST Labs Business Area which is the research and advanced technology arm of BAE Systems INC. Of Dr. Wohletz’s 26 years of Aerospace and Defense experience, 17 years included profit and loss responsibilities. Prior profit and loss responsibilities included running complex organizations responsible for delivering $0.5B in annual revenues, capturing large-scale defense programs (>$2B), and developing new-to-the-world products that are current market leaders. In addition to running businesses, Dr. Wohletz has also served as a Strategy Director leading change initiatives for the future of Electronic Warfare, and regularly briefs senior Department of Defense executives. Dr. Wohletz has been recognized for his contributions to our Nation’s Defense and was honored to be selected to serve on the United States Air Force Scientific Advisory Board.
