How do we improve the human condition? We believe that innovation and entrepreneurship are means to do exactly that. However, before we can even focus on using either of those things to pay it forward, we have to focus on ourselves; more specifically, on our own nourishment. If we’re not able to eat, how can we even begin to think about helping others? Only then can we, as Pillar Companies’ Sarah Hodges says, do something remarkable, make a meaningful contribution to the world.

So what does nourishment have to do with Thursday’s Café Night at Kendall? It’s our fourth theme night focused on entrepreneurs and innovations in the food and beverage industry. Special thanks to Venture Café Volunteer Kosta Chernikov (also Co-Founder of Georgian Toast) and  for helping to organize Thursday’s themed Café Night.

First, attend the Slow Money Boston Showcase featuring Fox Point Pickling Company, Mattapan Ecovation Center, Ocean State Smoked Fish Company, SamosaMan Exotic Food, Democracy Brewing, and American Stonecraft. Then, check out our panel,Savory Success Stories: A Discussion on Boston Food Startups, with Branchfood‘s Lauren Abda, Stockpot Malden‘s Emily Gouillart, Foundation Kitchen‘s Ciaran Nagle, and moderated by Venture Café’s very own Blonde Beauchamp (also Founder of The Craic and Blonde). Following the panel, join TCN UpStart Roundtable for a casual conversation between The Food Loft‘s Adam Salomone (also Founder and Partner of Salt Ventures), Edible Ventures‘s Bob Stringer (also Founder of Crimson Seed Capital), and Silicon Valley Bank’s Pete MacDonald.
