Friends,

The Law of Two Feet—a concept frequently associated with MassTLC’s UnConference—was introduced to me during my first Venture Café visit in January 2011. If you’re neither learning nor contributing, it’s up to you to respectfully use your two feet to find a place where you are.

Even today, you’ll often hear the Law of Two Feet mentioned to “first-timers” (easily identifiable by the “1” on their nametags) who’ve asked us about the format of our weekly event. At its heart, the law requires you to make a choice. Do you stay or leave? Speaking of choice, Tuesday is Election Day. We encourage you to vote if you haven’t already done so.

On Thursday, choose to join us for an event-filled Café, sponsored by EisnerAmper. We’re pleased to welcome them into our community and hope you’ll help us show them how vibrant it is. Then, pick from following feature events:

• Youth CITIES Mini-Hack

• Next Level Business Forum

• Coalesce Sustainability Collaborative

• The New Equity Crowdfunding Rules and You,
presented in partnership between The Venture Café
Foundation and The Capital Network

• Raising Capital and Optimizing Early Stage Deal Structures: Expectations for Seed and Early Stage Investors

We’re also pleased to welcome five new advisors for Office Hours including Solvay Ventures’ Coppelia Marincovic and from EisnerAmper: Alan Wink, John Pennett, Rich Cleaveland, and Tim O’Rourke. They’ll join seven others from our deep roster of adept advisors to host Office Hours during Thursday’s Café Night at Kendall.

Info Tables include StartHub, TiE ScaleUp, and Tufts MedStart Healthcare Conference – Startup Showcase.

Please find the abbreviated schedule for Thursday’s session below. Click through for more information on each event. (Special thanks to EisnerAmper for sponsoring Thursday’s gathering.)

Hope to see you Thursday,
