Aside from providing a place for casual conversations, semi-serendipitous encounters, and office hours with visiting experts every Thursday, on December 12, we’re pleased to welcome MassBio and others interested in the life sciences and healthcare. Also, expect a special joint Youth CITIES Mini-Hack upstairs at KPMG, on the 15th floor. This Mini-Hack is in collaboration with New England Venture Capital Association and unlike other Mini-Hacks, the topic has been announced beforehand and please note that your RSVP is required.

4:00 – 6:00 P.M. | Youth CITIES & New England Venture Capital Association Mini-Hack: Women in STEM
Youth CITIES and New England Venture Capital Association (NEVCA) present a special Mini-Hack at KPMG on the 15th Floor. The topic is an important issue for both Youth CITIES and NEVCA and it’s also on the agenda at the White House: increasing the representation of girls and women in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM). So what does a solution to the underrepresentation of girls and women in STEM look like? There are a lot of initiatives and approaches that exist, from changes in how toys are marketed to different educational approaches. Is it addressing the root of the problem? Is the entire ecosystem of the problem addressed?
Show your support and share your ideas during this moderated brainstorming session. You don’t have to be a woman, and you don’t have to be in the STEM field. Diversity within a cross-collaborative environment will keep the hack fresh!
Since this event occurs at KPMG on the 15th floor, you must RSVP to expedite the sign-in process in the lobby.
